This multidisciplinary conference is for physicians, oncology nurses, and other healthcare providers who treat and manage breast cancer patients. The primary goal of this educational initiative is to provide those involved in the treatment and care of breast cancer patients with information on recent advancements of relevance to their practice. By providing the most current information, practitioners will be able
to help their patients make informed decisions, optimize clinical outcomes, and improve quality of life and survivorship. The conference will include up-to-date information in medical oncology, radiation oncology, surgery, pathology, and survivorship issues. Some of the topics include information on drug treatment options, surgical approaches, treatment strategies for early and late-stage disease, and aftercare issues relating to survival. The conference format will consist of lecture sessions and case studies with debates on controversies at the end of most sessions, and will include audience participation using electronic input throughout the entire conference
